Biography of Margarita Smirnova

Margarita Smirnova was born in 1981 in Latvia and started dancing at the age of five. With a successful career, she won the title of Latvian Champion in ten different dances and participated repeatedly in international competitions, where she emerged as a winner and was awarded cups and medals. She has been teaching dance since the age of 16, transferring to her students not only technique but also a passion for music and movement. She has been living and working in Greece since 2010, creating the Smirnova Dance Academy, where she combines her experience, knowledge and love for dance with teaching at all ages.

History of the School

The Smirnova Dance Academy was founded with a vision to bring to Greece the deep knowledge and professionalism of international dance standards. From day one, the school has aspired to be a creative and welcoming environment, where students of all ages can discover the joy of movement, develop technically and express themselves through dance. In our space, every step, every figure and every dance moment matters, and all our students are treated as unique artists and members of our dance family.




	Educational Philosophy At Smirnova Dance Academy we believe that dance is more than an activity; it is a way of expression, personal development and social interaction. Our goal is to combine the right technical training with creative expression and fun, so that each student discovers their personal joy through movement. We teach respect, confidence and cooperation, while encouraging students to explore different dance styles, from ballroom and Latin to Hip-Hop and Ballet. For us, dance is for everyone, regardless of age or level, and each lesson is an opportunity to grow a love for the art, to highlight personality and to create beautiful memories.
